Situated 125 km from Kenya's captial city, Nairobi in Gacharageini village in Mathioya Division of Murang'a District at the foothills of the Aberdare Ranges at her highest peak and only 10km from the spectacular Chinga Dam.

Its only 2.5 hr drive from Nairobi(130KMS) OR 40 minutes drive from Nyeri(45KMS) using the Nyeri-Othaya -Kangema route. If coming from Nairobi. 1)Nairobi- Thika Dual Carriage Road A2(45Kms) 2)Thika - End of the Dual Carriage Road A2 (10Kms) 3)Just before the dual carriage ends take the left road C71 (with lots of signs,Equity,KCB,Pioneer School) 4)Drive on that Road to Muranga Town(25Kms) 5)Stop at the Kenol Petrol station /Magunandu Supermarket. 6)Opposite the Kenol Petrol you will see aleft turn Kangema -Othaya Road 7)Go with that Road to Kangema Town(25Kms) 8)At Kagema proceed on the same road towards Othaya for EXACTLY 6kms 9)Exactly 6kms from Kangema town take the left at this Junction. (There are many signs Njumbi High School,Gatunguru Tea Factory etc) 10)Proceed on this road it turns to good murram after the hill till you reach Gatunguru Tea factory (9Kms) 11)Opposite the Factory to the right there is a sign board take that murram road to the Lodge(3kms) If coming from Nyeri 1)Take Nyeri -Othaya Road to Othaya (17Kms) 2)Proceed on same road Othaya - Kiriani (7kms) 3)Proceed on the same road towards Kangema for EXACTLY 7kms 4)Exactly 7 kms from Kiriani Town take the RIGHT at this Junction. (There are many signs Njumbi High School,Gatunguru Tea Factory etc) 5)Proceed on this road it turns to good murram after the hill till you reach Gatunguru Tea factory (9Kms) 11)Opposite the Factory to the right there is a sign board for the lodge take that murram road to the Lodge(3kms)
