The theme of Kiwayu is informality. A bikini, a kikoi ( sarong) and a hat are all you need for a holiday here. You will find no concrete; only thatched bandas(ensuite cottages) which blend into the dunes and sway with the sea breeze.
Your banda (cottage) is one of 18 spread along one kilometer of the sandy shoreline, built with great imagination, in the local Swahili tradition of palm thatch and woven matting floors. The only sound you will hear is the lapping of the sea, the wind in the palms and bird song.Children: 14 and under

Kiwayu Safari Village is located on the Kenya mainland in the most remote coast of the Kiunga Marine Reserve about 30 miles north of Lamu Island, in a breathtakingly beautiful bay opposite Kiwayu Island.
Nestling amid the mainland dunes, the oasis of Kiwayu Safari Village lies to the north of a sheltered lagoon facing the island of Kiwayu. Baobabs of Kitangani’ Honeymoon Suite * Baobabs of Kitangani’ is located on a small secluded beach, set on Kiwayu Island - adjacent to the main Kiwayu beach and bandas. * This suite consists of two large open areas (one large en-suite bedroom with open veranda area, and one spacious seating area), set in the shade of impressive baobab trees, and overlooking the tropical clear waters of Kiwayu bay. There is also a dining and seating area down on the beach – perfect for light lunches or romantic candle-lit dinners. * Baobabs of Kitangani’ has its own private kitchen and staff. * The suite’s sitting room contains 2 Lamu beds, which can easily be converted into spare beds (not suitable for young children due to open nature of rooms)

Children & Extra Guest Policy:
Children under 5 year sharing are free charge all year round, children in their own will be charged the single room rate.
We recommend that children under 12 years, share with their parents in the same banda or with an elder sibling. All rates are on a per person per night basis unless otherwise stated. All bookings must be a minimum of two nights except during christmas season. A child in their own banda will be charged a single room rate, child sharing with an adult or another child will be charged child sharing rate during the CHRISTMAS SEASON BOOKINGS.Reception Information:
The accommodation facility is closed between 27th March and 14th July every year. Baobabs of Kitangani requires a minimum of 2 pax. Additional child is charged the extra child rate (max 4pax - 2 adults & 2 children)
