The Mara Hippo Safari Lodge is an exclusive safari resort situated near the Ololaimatiek Gate on the southern side of the Mare Triangle. The easiest way to the lodge is by light aircraft landing at Keekorok Airstrip, 15kms to the west or via Siana Airstrip 40kms to the north. Alternatively, access by road is 245kms from Nairobi via the main Sekenani Gate.
