The Tsavo Buffalo Camp and Tsavo River hill camps face directly onto the banks of the River Galana and offer guests the opportunity of a holiday which reflects the pace of life on the Savanna, an existence in close contact with the wild animals. The Tsavo River Hill lodge has been constructed in a privileged position on a small hill and it enjoys a magnificent view over the River Galana. It includes a restaurant, a lounge bar, a relaxation area which allows the guests to observe the animals in their highly-suggestive and unique natural context. The wake-up call is at dawn; then breakfast and immediate departure for the first safari to watch the big cats. In the early morning, these animals return to their base from hunting and are easily detected by Man. Return to the camp, lunch and a ‘walking safari’ in the Savanna accompanied by a Masai warrior who will indicate the footprints and the tracks of the animals which recently passed through the area; Once they have returned to their bungalows, if the guests hear any animal noises, they can flash the torch light they have been given and the Masai guide will guide the guest close to the animal: naturally, all necessary safety precautions will be taken.
